Eric Buchman was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1980. At the same time he spent almost all his adult life in Long Island. Like many other professional players, Eric got acquainted with poker while studying at college. First, together with his brother, he took an active part in friendly competitions, and then from time to time began to go to quite well-known in the United States Native American casinos, as one could officially gamble there since the age of 18, not 21.

It is curious that Eric holds master’s degree in business. However, he has never worked in specialty, devoting almost all his life to poker. At first, regular cash games were the main source of his income. Buchman began to participate in professional tournaments only in 2002. Nevertheless it was quite successful.

In 2002 very young Buchman managed to reach the finals of the United States Poker Championship, held in Atlantic City. Two years later, he won the Main Event and 275 thousand dollars at New England Poker Classic.

In 2009, he made his way to the WSOP final, having nearly 35 million chips, and being the second according to this indicator. At that time, Buchman could already boast of several bright enough victories, and the total amount of his winnings was almost $ 1 000 000. At that tournament Buchman came 4th and won 2.5 million.

A year later at the WSOP 2010 Eric was also lucky, and he earned another 200 thousand dollars and a gold bracelet. In the following years, he won 100-200 thousand dollars more at every of various tournaments. His last big win was a victory at the WSOP 7 Card Stud, where Buchman managed to win his second bracelet and nearly 118 thousand dollars.
