The Cincinnati Kid can be called one of the best films in the history of poker. Though the movie is of 60s, it rather accurately shows atmosphere and tension at the table. Therefore, all poker fans will highly appreciate it.
The Cincinnati Kid appeared on the screens in 1965 and was welcomed by many critics. Even now, it is not neglected and still finds its fans and not only among poker lovers.
All the events in the movie take place in New Orleans, where the Cincinnati Kid is the best Stud poker player in the town. But a famous poker pro Lancey Howard (Edward G. Robinson), comes to the city to play in a private circle. And Cincinnati Kid (Steve McQueen), having learned about his arrival, decides to challenge him to find out who is the best.
